What facilities are accepting PetroChem+ training?

The following facilities are accepting PetroChem+ training:

  • Johnson Matthey (refining & chemicals plant)

  • Monroe Energy
  • Solvay
  • Valtris Specialty Chemicals

PetroChem+ can be taken in lieu of BOP/BOPR at accepting facilities.

Is PetroChem+ the same as BOP/BOPR?
No, PetroChem+ is a PSM program developed by the Delaware Valley Safety Council which can be streamed online or proctored in our computer lab. The Basic Orientation Plus® (BOP/BOPR) is governed by the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils who does not permit this program to be streamed online. BOP/BOPR is required to be completed in a proctored environment. PetroChem+ can be taken in lieu of BOP/BOPR at accepting facilities.
Are you still offering BOP/BOPR?

Yes! BOP/BOPR can be taken at our facility in Swedesboro, NJ. Due to the course guidelines, BOP/BOPR must be taken in a proctored environment. PetroChem+ is also available, as an additional PSM and can be taken online or at our facility.

How long is the PetroChem+ course?
The course is roughly 2 – 2.5 hours. Training is valid for one year.

My company is setup to pay with a purchase order. Can I keep this payment method?

Yes. You can continue using the purchase order number you have on file with our office when registering your contractors for training. Purchase orders must be emailed to info@dvsconline.org to verify payment.
