HAZWOPER (40, 24, 8)

 

We provide initial and refresher training classes that fulfill the program elements under the HAZWOPER regulations, 29 CFR§1910.120. As required by OSHA, only competent instructors may train this program, and we have the necessary credentials and experience to instruct this course.

40 Hour Training:  For general hazardous waste site workers, working on remediation sites or hazardous waste treatment storage or disposal facilities.

40 Hour Training Registration

24 Hour Training: For Hazardous materials technicians, or individuals who respond to releases or potential releases for the purpose of stopping the release. They assume a more aggressive role than a first responder at the operations level in that they will approach the point of release in order to plug, patch or otherwise stop the release of a hazardous substance.

We can help determine what training level is appropriate for your organization.

NOTE:  PTP specializes in training HAZMAT Technicians on site, and will work with your company to design effective live drills using your own PPE.

Fork Lift Safety Training

In accordance with the OSHA Regulation, 29CFR 1910.178  employees that operate Powered industrial trucks, such as fork trucks, tractors, platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks, etc – require training and evaluation at least once every three (3) years.  Our instructors can help provide the necessary certification for this safety training topic and hands-on evaluations using your company specific equipment.

Confined Space Entry

OSHA’s 29CFR 1910.146 specifies that employees must be trained on permit required confined space entry.  Our in-depth training program covers the identification of confined spaces, and the safe work practices and procedures regarding entry and working within these confined spaces.  Topics also include: hazards, air monitoring, job functions, non-entry rescue equipment and CSE permits.       This program can also be offered at on location using your in-house air monitoring and non-entry rescue equipment.

Hazard Communication (Global Harmonization)

Are your employees up to speed on HAZCOM and the new changes under GHS, as identified under 29CFR 1910.1200?  In-house training can be provided for your organization, focusing on the types on chemicals that are handled by your work force.  Topics include: standard review, categories of hazards, hazard recognition, labeling, and safety data sheets.  Custom HAZCOM programs be developed for in house use by your own instructor.
