HAZWOPER (40, 24, 8)
We provide initial and refresher training classes that fulfill the program elements under the HAZWOPER regulations, 29 CFR§1910.120. As required by OSHA, only competent instructors may train this program, and we have the necessary credentials and experience to instruct this course.
40 Hour Training: For general hazardous waste site workers, working on remediation sites or hazardous waste treatment storage or disposal facilities.

24 Hour Training: For Hazardous materials technicians, or individuals who respond to releases or potential releases for the purpose of stopping the release. They assume a more aggressive role than a first responder at the operations level in that they will approach the point of release in order to plug, patch or otherwise stop the release of a hazardous substance.

OSHA 10 Hour Construction (Classroom-Led)
Attendees will receive an OSHA Outreach card upon successful completion. Topics include:
• The OSHA Outreach Program
• Hazard Communication
• Special Emphasis Program – silica, lead
• Fall Protection, working surfaces
• Scaffolding
• Electrical safety/ LOTO
• Trenching Operations
• Confined Space Entry
• Machine Guarding
• PPE, Respirators
• Forklifts
• Fire Safety
The class will be held over a day and a half, as required by OSHA not to exceed 7.5 hours in one day of training.
Hazard Communication (Global Harmonization)
PPE/Respiratory Protection
Respiratory training, fit testing, and medical evaluations are offered at the DVSC Training Center. This training includes a 1 hour training class to explain respiratory hazards, proper use of respirators, including putting on and removing them, any limitations on their use, and their maintenance. Participants will need to bring their own negative pressure respirator to this session. After the training class you will be directed to WORKNET for the medical evaluation and fit testing.
NOTE: Respiratory training fit testing and the medical evaluation is required on an annual basis.
