INTERNATIONAL MARITIME DANGEROUS GOODS (IMDG)
The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code is a set of regulations related to the shipping of dangerous goods by vessel. IMDG training requirements are related rules that dictate who must receive maritime dangerous goods training and IMDG certification.
IMO – IMDG Training – Delaware, New Jersey & Philadelphia
The International Maritime Organization requires shippers to be trained when offering dangerous goods for transportation by vessel (See Chapter 1.3 of the IMDG Code). You have a choice – in-house or off-site training! If you have several employees that need training, please consider having DVSC provide the training at your site. We can tailor the program to meet your needs, and will work with you to combine other topics (i.e. DOT and IATA) into one program. Like the DOT rules, IMO does not specify contact hours, but specific items need to be covered. We administer exams and certificates of completion. You may purchase the IMO Dangerous Goods current edition for $340.00.
